the campaign begins

A national campaign to raise the profile of Bordeaux wines will begin in September, as part of a three-year marketing strategy by the Conseil Interprofessionnel du Vin de Bordeaux (CIVB). Dine Out with Bordeaux Wines and The Times will offer the newspaper's readers the opportunity to eat for 10 at 500 independent restaurants nationwide in January, and receive a free glass of Bordeaux. The initiative will be linked to promotions in nine multiple grocers and specialists in early October. Wine in more than 1,000 outlets will carry a Dine Out collarette, which contains an application form for a restaurant guide and a 10 voucher. Additional tastings will be held in October at London's Victoria station.
