Following an unopposed petition by the DTI, Harley Fine Wine Ltd, a claret investment company, was wound up in the public interest, at a brief hearing held in the High Court (London) on 8 August. Harley was founded in December 2000, with Lynton Guest and Aurora Menon the co-directors. In January 2001, Guest's previous investment company, Ashley White Ltd, was also wound up in the High Court by the DTI. Ashley White Ltd failed to buy all the wine that it sold to clients. No wine has so far been traced to Harley Fine Wine Ltd, although investigations are continuing. Menon was Ashley White's senior broker.
