Phillips leaves Foster's

John Phillips, the managing director of FGL Wine Estates EMEA (Europe, Middle East and Africa), has left the company for personal reasons. He is being replaced by Peter Jackson, who moves up from commercial director for Continental Europe on 1 June.

Jackson commented: With the integration of Beringer Blass and Southcorp completed we are now ready to focus on growing the top line by using consumer insights and the power of the global business to develop products to meet customer and consumer need.'

Jamie Odell, managing director of FGL Wine Estates, said: In his current role and his prior role as vice president European sales for Southcorp Wines Europe, Peter Jackson has delivered outstanding results through his team leadership abilities and his strong commitment to a consumer-led, customer-driven ethos. Peter has 21 years of international experience in the drinks sector.'

John Phillips, a Californian, was managing director of Beringer Blass Wine Estates EMEA before Fosters took over Southcorp, and was responsible for leading the two company's through the integration process.
