WSET supports Fifteen wine scholarship

Published:  23 July, 2008

The Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) contributed to the second year of Fifteen restaurant's wine scholarship by enabling Goliat Booysen, trainee winemaker at Cloof Wine Estate, to return to South Africa with an intermediate certificate.

The project is entitled My Life in South Africa' and is designed to broaden the experience and skills of young black nationals working in the South African wine industry.

In addition to completing the WSET course, Goliat's six-week stay involved learning about wine service with Matt Skinner and providing insights into customer relations and marketing courtesy of wine merchants Philglas & Swiggot and Berkmann Wine Cellars.
