MPs to debate responsible drinking

MP groups are set to debate the development of the Drinkaware Trust.

The All-party groups will also discuss the revised Code of Practice and the Portman Group's new advice for alcohol marketing.

The meeting on 19 June 2007 at Westminster will focus on the drinking culture in the UK.

John Grogan MP will chair the meeting and guest speakers include David Poley, chief executive of the Portman Group, Sir Richard Tilt, chairman of the Independent Complaints Panel and Kevin Byrne, interim chief executive of the Drinkaware Trust.

Attendees include: the All-Party Parliamentary Alcohol Misuse Group; the All-Party Parliamentary Beer Group; the All-Party Parliamentary Cider Group; the All-Party Parliamentary Scotch Whisky Group and the All-Party Parliamentary Wine and Spirit Group.
