Grard Depardieu, the greatest French actor of his generation and something of a part-time vigneron, has taken a share in a new Bordeaux property, in conjunction with the William Pitters group. Chteau Gadet, based to the north of St Estphe in the village of St-Seurin-de-Cadourne, has two hectares (ha) of vines. Depardieu already owns the 65ha Chteau de Tign in Anjou and has an interest in Domaine Alain Paret in Condrieu. His latest acquisition has developed through his friendship with Bernard Magrez, MD of William Pitters.
