Trade stalwarts launch new company

Wine writer Susy Atkins and consultant Angela Mount have bucked the recession by launching a new company, specialising in events in the south west.

The pair hope to work with hotels, restaurants, merchants and events companies in the region, where they both live, to run bespoke wine evenings for their customers and help develop their sales.

The new company will also offer tailored wine and food matching events, corporate tasting events and girls' only evenings.

"In the current economic climate, it's more important than ever to offer that point of difference to the on-trade. We will work with them, developing their wine sales and providing fun, educational and informative events for their customers", said Mount.

Susy Atkins commented: "The South West is our home turf and it offers very exciting possibilities. We know there are a lot of wine consumers, both living in, and travelling to this region who would love to find out more about wine in a relaxed environment."

Both regularly sessions at Taste, Good Food Show, Ideal Home Show and most key exhibitions.
