Wines of Chile launches Independent Wine Merchant Awards competition 2011
Wines of Chile has launched its Independent Wine Merchant Awards competition 2011, which is open to all independent wine merchants across the UK.
Coinciding with Chile's National Day celebrations on the September 18, retailers entering the competition will put Chile in the spotlight for a month with in store displays, tastings, wine dinners and promotions.
The top four retailers will win an all expenses paid buying trip to Chile in January 2012, plus £500 towards the expenses of the promotion, the ten runners up will receive £500 each.
The Chilean promotion must run for at least the month of September 2011.
Judges will be looking for innovation and fun, as well as evidence of improved sales and an increase in Chilean listings.
2010 winners were: Amps Fine Wines - Oundle, Cornhill Wines - Illminster, James Nicholson Wine Merchant - Crossgar, The Jolly Vintner - Tiverton, Rodney Densem Wines - Nantwich, Taurus Wines - Bramley and The Wright Wine Co - Skipton.
