LIWF conference to look at growth in online wine business

The second London International Wine Fair conference, organised by Punch Events on behalf of Brintex, will focus on the growth in online wine business - its diversity and reach.

Robert Joseph will chair the event on May 16, while speakers include Dan Jago of Tesco who looks at the opportunity that online provides to an already established retailer.

Angela Mount of YourFavouriteWines.com will look at the online concept of a case study of branded wine and Rowan Gormley, of Naked Wines, will talk about the Naked philosophy of how to engage consumers and work with boutique wineries.

Château Bauduc producer, Gavin Quinney who is successfully selling direct to consumers and key on-trade customers from his vineyard, will also take part.

Other speakers will include Sophie Jump of the International Wine Club Association, Antonia Branston, senior retailing analyst at Euromonitor International, who will present on how online is changing the retail world, and Guy Levine, Return On Digital, will challenge delegates on how they can make their competitors wish they had never even built a website.
