Glenlivet opts for peated cask finish for latest Nàdurra series release

Published:  07 October, 2015

Pernod Ricard's Glenlivet single malt has launched the third expression of its Nàdurra cask finish range.

The Glenlivet Nàdurra Peated Whisky Cask Finish ended its maturation in American oak casks that had previously held heavily-peated Scotch whisky.

The whisky has been bottled at a cask strength of 61.5% abv and is exclusive to Selfridges at an rrp of £54.99. It will be rolled out to other specialist outlets from January.

Master distiller Alan Winchester said: "Interest among whisky fans for new, original and well-made single malt Scotch has continued to grow in recent years, and we are proud to have set the benchmark for quality and innovation.

"The Nàdurra range has enjoyed a cult following due to its rich craftsmanship story and commitment to traditional 19th century production methods, and with releases such as The Glenlivet Nàdurra Peated Whisky Cask Finish we hope to inspire more and more increasingly discerning drinkers to learn about the craftsmanship, provenance and heritage of the single malt that started it all."
