Hallgarten invests in sales and brand management with four new hires

Published:  22 February, 2016

Leading UK distributor Hallgarten Druitt & Novum has strengthened its sales and marketing teams with four new appointments.

The sales team is bolstered with the addition of Ailsa Grice and Christina Larsson, who will work in the West Midlands and East and West Yorkshire respectively.

Grice has a degree in Viticulture and Oenology from Plumpton College and has been working for a small organic winery in Languedoc Roussillon for the last 12 years.

Larsson's experience includes spells as a sommelier in both London and Paris and, most recently, three years as an account manager for Bibendum in London.

New to the brand management team are Evangelia Tevekelidou and Margherita Tovo.

Born in Greece, Tevekelidou has a Masters in Media and Public Relations and a post-graduate Diploma in Marketing.

She will manage Hallgarten's relationships with its Greek winemakers, as well as a number of other esoteric producers in the company's portfolio.

Tovo, who is from Verona, joins from Spring, one of Hallgarten's London on-trade customers, where she worked as a sommelier.

Tovo will oversee Hallgarten's Italian portfolio.

Andrew Bewes, managing director of Hallgarten, said: "These are really important appointments for the business which further strengthen our sales and brand management teams.

"Ailsa and Christina bring knowledge and passion to our already established and successful sales department.

"Evangelia and Margherita's qualifications - not to mention language skills - allow us to build upon on our supplier relationships and I'm delighted to welcome them to them to the Hallgarten family, and look forward to working with them to further enhance our service levels to all our customers."
