The International Wine Challenge 2015 first tranche online submission window will be closing in two days on October 30, 2014.
This is the second year that the IWC has had two submission windows. The two windows have been opened in an effort to accommodate producers and marketing staff who opearate to different production timelines in the Southern Hemisphere.
For tranche one the online submission will need to be completed by October 30, 2014 and samples will need be sent via private courier and must arrive between November 3-7, 2014.
Judging will take place between November 17-19, 2014 and medals will be announced on December 2, 2014.
Tranche two will then open on December 4, 2014.
The Trophy Tasting for tranches one and two will be combined and held on April 27-28, 2015.
Chris Ashton, the director of the IWC, said: "Our entries are up significantly this year for tranche one. The announcement of medal winners for tranche one in the first week of December is a great PR opportunity for winners leading up to Christmas."
Last year was the first year the competition allowed for different timelines and of the 10% for the IWC were submitted in tranche one. "We are up on entries for the Tranche one over last year at this time. I think more people are taking advantage of the different dates and have a better understanding of the new time frames this year," said Alex Redfern, IWC wine specialist.

All medal winners will be judged together in a final tasting that will be held in late April 2015.
