Milk vodka brand expands with distillery tour and kitchen

Published:  09 January, 2017

Consumer tourism is becoming an increasingly important revenue stream and brand builder for BWSs, as vodka producer Black Cow will attest.

Black Cow Vodka - vodka made from pure milk -, is pursuing the alcohol tourism route by opening the doors of its Dorset distillery.

As of April, visitors will be able to take a tour of the distillery in West Dorset which will include vodka tasting and cocktail classes.

They are also launching their new Black Cow Bar + Kitchen, also at the distillery, which provides dining options from locally-sourced, seasonal ingredients.

The kitchen will mark a new direction for the company, and will incorporate the knowledge of Black Cow co-founder and dairy farmer, Jason Barber.

"We are really excited to be opening our doors to fans of Black Cow Vodka, old and new. Since I first created our Pure Milk Vodka four years ago, we have seen interest grow around the world.

"We thought the time was right to welcome visitors to our brand home and introduce more people to the smooth, creamy taste of Black Cow," he said.

Black Cow - vodka with a pasteurised twist - is made in Dorset from the milk of grass grazed cows and distilled from the whey of milk.

Barbers' inspiration came from a desire to diversify the produce from his 250 strong dairy herd and his personal interest in vodka.?

Black Cow was launched by Jason and Paul Archard in 2012.
