Tequila & Mezcal Fest, the UK's only festival dedicated to Mexico's most successful alcoholic exports, has found a new home.

The festival will return for its third consecutive year, this time in the Boiler House at Truman Brewery, in East London's Brick Lane, after being hosted by Spitalfields last year.

The event, sponsored by Patrón Tequila and Fentimans, will descend on the larger venue on September 17 and 18, having welcomed just under 3000 visitors last year.

Organisers say the event will be eschewing salt and lime slammers and novelty sombreros and instead the focus will be on education around this often "misunderstood" category.

This year, the day will be broken up into two sessions, afternoon and evening, with Patrón Tequila returning as a main sponsor.

Seminars and masterclasses will include Mexican cocktail making and tequila production.

Fentimans are this year's official mixer sponsor and will create two signature cocktails, one with Peloton de la Muerte Mezcal and the other with Patron.

Patron, Olmeca, Casco Viejo, Herradura, Ocho, Fortaleza, El Jolgorio Mezcal, Nuestra Soledad Mezcal, Mezcales de Leyenda, Amores Mezcal are all due to makes appearances.

Mexican eateries Barrio Bars, Lupita, Camion, Cafe Pacifico, Condesa, Wahaca will provide sustenance, with cultural entertainemnt from a mariachi band, folklore dancers and an art exhibition by artist Honorio Robledo.
