Wines of Argentina launches UK made Malbec

Wines of Argentina is celebrating the approach of the second Malbec World Day with the launch of the first Argentine Malbec made in the UK.

 

 

 

Chapel Down Malbec 2011, is made in partnership with the Gaucho Restaurant Group with grapes grown in Argentina but produced in the UK, and will be available for tastings at Chapel Down in Kent and at all Gaucho restaurants.

 

 

Malbec World Day April 17, will see independent retailers such as Majestic Wine offer a Malbec themed tasting week in all stores, from April 13.

 

 

Naked Wines will also be running a week long exclusive offer, a 'Discover Argentine Malbec Case', with 25% off from April 16, plus an exclusive Facebook competition offering a trip to Argentina.

 

 

Avery´s Wine Merchants and The Telegraph Newspaper have teamed up to make a month long feature of their entire Argentine range.

 

 

A list of restaurants will also participate in the campaign.

 

 

Wines of Argentina claims export growth has increased 300% over the past five years and sales rose 38% in the UK in 2011.
