Jacob’s Creek has signed a sponsorship deal with the Jonathan Ross Show on ITV1.

Brand owner Pernod Ricard said the campaign, which goes live on Saturday, August 18, will feature on broadcast, online and mobile media and will run through the 2012/2013 show season.

Pernod believes the sponsorship ties in with Jacob’s Creek’s ‘True Character’ campaign as Ross will host characters and performers from the biggest bands and solo artists around. The last series of the Jonathan Ross Show on ITV1 averaged 3.4 million viewers, peaking on 4th February 2012 when 4.9 million viewers tuned in to watch Ross interview David Beckham.

Jacob’s Creek has created a series of idents for the start and end of the programme and between the adverts.

Patrick Venning, marketing director for Pernod Ricard UK, said: “Jonathan is a true character of television and the show is a natural fit with our brand philosophy. It gives us the opportunity to bring to life the brand personality in a credible and engaging way”.

The sponsorship package was negotiated by Vizeum and the idents created by Havas Worldwide.
