Morrisons wine development manager Arabella Woodrow MW has left the supermarket following a restructure.

There have been changes in the BWS team and Woodrow chose to look for a career outside of Morrisons rather than continue there.

She has worked at the supermarket's Bradford headquarter for five years, prior to that she spent four years at importer Myliko, and before that she was with the Co-operative for 12 years.

Woodrow's last day in the office was Friday August 31, although officially she has not yet left the business.

In an email to suppliers seen by Harpers, Woodrow said: "I should like to thank you for your help and support for our business and our wine team over the last five years. I have enjoyed my time here and will miss it."

Woodrow's plans are not yet known, although she does want to stay in the industry.

A spokesman for Morrisons said: "Following a departmental restructure, Arabella has decided to pursue opportunities outside the business."

Last week Harpers wrote about the effects Morrisons' decision to reduce the number of BWS suppliers it was using, would have on distributors. Some feared it could lead to more companies going out of business.
