Buckingham Schenk is rolling out a new Spanish take on the classic Rhône blend of Grenache, Shiraz and Mourvèdre.
Branded as GSM, the new wine is made by Valencian winemaker Pablo Ossorio at Bodegas Murviedro. Ossorio is well known for his modern winemaking techniques on grapes from traditional Spanish vineyards.
The wine is a straight blend with equal parts of Garnacha, Shiraz and Monastrell, all from vineyards around the winery in Valencia.
Bodegas Murviedro produces varietal and blended wines from indigenous and international grape varieties, packaged in both own-label and its popular Murviedro brand.
Producing nearly 20 million bottles a year, the bodegas "is a modern winery which is fully equipped to meet all the needs of the UK market, and its wines are vibrant, fruit-driven and modern in style," a spokesman said.
GSM will be available in Morrisons with an rrp of £4.49. |
