Vinexpo 2013 to take place from June 16-20

Vinexpo has confirmed that its 17th trade show will be held from June 16 to 20, 2013, at Bordeaux’s Lake Exhibition Centre.

Exhibitors at the 2011 exhibition represented 47 countries and organisers expect a similar attendance next year. The biennial exhibition introduces new attractions for each fair including the floating bridge across the lake and tastings by VINEXPO. Initiatives for 2013 are soon to be unveiled.

Final visitor numbers to Vinexpo 2011 showed a rise of 3% on 2009, with around 48,000 wine and spirits professionals attended the exhibition. The UK recorded the second largest number of foreign visitors followed by the USA, accounting jointly for around 10% of the total.

The exhibition has also adopted a new logo for 2013 aimed at emphasising the universal appeal of the Vinexpo. The logo presents a more modern version of the globe to “give a sense of the Exhibition moving forward within the professional side of the industry”. It claims the curves around the globe “express both the vibrant markets and the acceleration of international trade”.
