Having opened the doors to New Street Wine Shop in September, D&D London is taking the store's wine offering online.
The new website will allow visitors to browse over 160 bottles of wines and Champagnes, ranging from the everyday to limited edition vintages. The range has been selected by a team of sommeliers including Nicolas Clerc MS and Claudio Martins, who are heading up the new venture.
The wines will be categorised by region, price, grape, colour and style. A style guide, designed by Clerc, groups wines into seven flavour categories in a bid to make the website easier to navigate.
The site will offer free delivery for purchases over £100, and next day delivery within central London. There is no minimum spend, although orders under £100 will be subject to a delivery charge.
The new shop is located in the Old Bengal Warehouse, London's oldest surviving warehouse built by the East India Company between 1768 and 1771.
It will trade alongside several of the company's new on-trade outlets - the Old Bengal Bar, New Street Grill and Fish Market - and has a particular emphasis on regions such as Bordeaux and Burgundy, with a number of grower Champagnes and new-region wines from Brazil, Croatia and China.
