PLB is to launch its second UK Regional Roadshow tour with its specialist portfolio and has further announced it will join forces with Hatch Mansfield for the Scottish leg of the tour.

Travelling to London, Bristol, Manchester and Edinburgh throughout February 2013, the independent wine business will showcase 150 wines – of which a third are new for 2013 – from its independent and on-trade ranges.

Its specialist division is dedicated to sourcing and supplying the "perfect offering",  from entry-level price fighters to premium wines, both classic and niche, to the UK on-trade. Its recently revised portfolio comprises around 350 wines from PLB's global network of suppliers.

New listings include, from Italy, Terre del Barolo and Govone in Piedmont, and Franciacorta from Castello Bonomi; from Spain, Ribera del Duero's Protos; Brasil's Rio Sol; and Estrella Galicia, Spain's number-one beer, which is now available in both bottle and keg format in the UK.

There will also be a masterclass, led by PLB's director of wine Robin Kinahan MW and independent specialist manager Karen Hardwick, looking at some of the issues facing the specialist sectors today, and attendees will also be invited to give their honest feedback on a series of 20 new additions to the PLB portfolio.

Simon Brook, head of PLB's specialist division, said: "Last year, we debuted our completely revamped range, but the work didn't stop there. We've continued to listen to our customers – what they need, what they want and, most importantly, what they think – and we believe our current range is the strongest yet."

Lynn Murray, marketing director at Hatch Mansfield, said: "It made sense for us to work together on providing our customers with a one-stop tasting, offering them the opportunity to sample a comprehensive range of wines from all around the world for all pockets. We will be showcasing wines from all our agencies, including new products from Grant Burge's 5th Generation and Vigneron ranges, and Guillaume de Castelnau will be joining us from Louis Jadot to present his new Château des Jacques Fleurie, and some en primeur 2011 wines."

Dates:

February 11 – Manchester

February 12 –  Edinburgh (with Hatch Mansfield)

February 13 – Bristol
