Halewood Romania has launched a "surprisingly good Pinot Noir campaign" in a bid to encourage the UK wine trade to look at the quality and value of its wine.

A new website to support the campaign – halewood-romania-pinotnoir.co.uk – will be launched on March 15.

Halewood Romania's Pinot Noir portfolio, distributed in the UK by Halewood International, starts with entry-level La Umbra (rrp £6.49) and spans to Rhein Extra Pinot Noir Rosé (rrp £12.99).

"We believe that this range of Pinot Noirs is among the best that Romania has ever produced. We challenge you to find better value Pinot Noir and invite you to be surprised," said Halewood Romania managing director Dan Muntean.

Halewood recently won listings for the grape variety with The Wine Society and Laithwaite's Wine, and will be launching an exclusive Romanian range, Paris Street, with Laithwaite's.

Halewood Romania is one of the largest exporters of Romanian wines and has invested in planting vineyards, winery facilities and winemakers with international experience for 25 years.

Halewood Romania's Pinot Noir portfolio:

La Umbra Pinot Noir rrp £6.49

La Catina Pinot Noir rrp £7.99

Scurta Pinot Noir Rosé rrp £7.99

Kronos Pinot Noir rrp £10.99

Rhein Extra Pinot Noir Rosé rrp £12.99
