Bottle Green Wines has strengthened its on-trade and independents team with the addition of Jonathan Piggott.

Piggott joins the dedicated sales team for the on-trade and indie channel and will be charged with developing business in the south of England via regional wholesalers.

Bottle Green Wines is the on-trade and independents division of Bottle Green Limited and was formed in 2012 following the tie-up with Discovery Wines and the launch of a dedicated portfolio of wines only available to on-trade and independent customers.

The division has enjoyed "tremendous growth" since its inception in April 2012, according to a spokesman. The 2013 portfolio will be relaunched after Easter and will include a number of new additions, he added.
