Her responsibilities will include sourcing wines from France, USA and Portugal.
On the buying side, Nicholas Hall has been appointed internally from a buying manager role in the meat, fish and fresh poultry category. He will have buying responsibility for the North and South America wine ranges as well as the "lighter style" wines.
Charles Craven will be joining Tesco at the beginning of April. He was previously trading manager for wine at Spar and he is to take over the buying role for Tesco's Italian wine category, which Tesco said is "one of the largest and fastest growing categories within the Tesco range".
UK & group wine category manager Alain Guilpain said: "We have a fantastic group of people behind both buying and sourcing our brilliant ranges here at Tesco, and as customers continue to look for great quality and value, we are better placed than ever to deliver it."
Joining from Bibendum, Patrick Garvin will start in a new role in the Tesco customer planning team. Garvin will be responsible for the trade planning for the wine category and will start on March 24.
Category format manager for wine at Tesco Emma Biggs, said: "Along with the experience Patrick gained during his time at Bibendum, he has a great passion for wine and will be a huge asset to the team. We look forward to him joining Tesco later this month as the newest member of our multi-award winning team."
