Bodegas Gramona?s Spanish ice wine wine venture has been endorsed by Do Penedés.

Ten years ago the Gramona family opted to make the first Spanish ice wines - Gramona Gewrztraminer, Riesling-Muscat and Gewrztraminer Crianza.

After a decade, Do Peneds - the appellation the bodega is registered under - has decided to regulate the wines by naming them vino dulce de fro.

The venture was the idea of Jaume Gramona who was inspired by the techniques used to make German Eiswein.
