Guala Closures Group Sponsors ISI

Guala Closures Group has entered into a sponsorship programme with the International Screwcap Initiative (ISI).

Established in 2004, the ISI provides a common forum for the growing numbers of screwcap users worldwide, and aims to educate the wine drinking public on the benefits of this type of closure.

Guala Closures Group, the number one spirits and safety closures company, only branched into wine screwcaps in 2003 but this area is already a key activity for the business, with ten plants across eight countries dedicated to aluminium wine closure production.

Guala Closures' Anne Seznec said: "We felt it was time to pay more than just lip service to the work being undertaken by the ISI. The Trade is now aware of the benefits of screwcaps, and are looking forward to working with the ISI to communicate these benefits to the consumer."
