Tesco extends Drinks Awards deadline

Tesco has extended the entry deadline for its 2009 Drinks Awards to September 5 2008.

The awards are open to brewers, distillers, cider manufacturers and winemakers and offers category winners a guaranteed one-year listing in UK Tesco stores. Listings can be won at both national and regional level.

The Awards also give brand owners with products not yet listed on supermarket shelves a chance to have their products judged by members of the Tesco BWS team and independent experts in a number of categories.

Now in its 16th year, Tesco says the aim of the awards is to drive innovation and
bring exciting new products to market. The awards are chaired by renowned industry experts Tim Hampson (Beer), Dave Broom (Spirits) and Julia Trustram Eve (Wine).
