We don't recommend you appreciate alcohol in this way...

I've just been doing my lunchtime scud around the national newspapers, having a look at what's going on in the world, and I came across a piece in the Guardian that, quite honestly, put me right off my sandwich.

The newspaper is reporting that hospitals are encountering big problems with street drinkers and homeless people, who've been sneaking in to nick their 70% proof hand sanitisers to make drinks with. They've been mixing it with orange juice, Lucozade or cola to create a new version of something called "red biddy" - the name given to the meths and red wine mix favoured by street drinkers.

Safe to say that's one drink we won't be endorsing at Talking Drinks.
