Corona Extra has undertaken one of its biggest ever support programmes with the trade by flying 70 key distributors and account customers to Ibiza for a three day party.

The Wells and Young owned brewer has flown customers from the UK, Greece, Norway, Germany, Italy and Portugal to the party island for a three day VIP experience entitled ‘Corona Island'. The trip includes a stay at Pacha hotel and entry to a number of the island's clubs.

The initiative follows Corona Extra launching its first ever £1 million national advertising campaign in the UK last month with the strapline ‘The Beginning'.

Chris Lewis, director of marketing at Wells and Young's, said: "Corona Island complements The Beginning campaign by supporting the above the line activity with direct support for the trade.

"The brand has seen a phenomenal rise in popularity and this initiative is a powerful way to consolidate that support and strengthen ties with key accounts."
