Louis Roederer has announced the winners of its International Wine Writers' Awards 2008. The champagne producer has also launched a new website and unveiled new "up-to-date" packaging for its range, including its Brut Premier and Brut Vintage brands. The awards presentation took place at the Portico Rooms in Somerset House on September 8, and was attended by wine writers, journalists, members of the wine trade and publishers from around the world. The judging panel included Steven Spurrier, president of the Circle of Wine Writers, Sarah Jane Evans MW and James Mates, senior correspondent for ITV News.
