Thresher Group takes on two media agencies to support growth strategy

Thresher Group has hired two media agencies to help it reposition its Threshers and The Local brands and launch its new brand, the Wine Rack.

Media Planning Group and creative agency Krow Communications have been appointed to deliver a new customer-focused brief following the group's growth and investment programme announced in March.

Commenting on the appointments, Vibha Hardaker, group marketing director of Thresher Group, said: "Repositioning our brands and continuous improvement in the customer experience is critical to delivering the group-wide growth and investment programme we announced in March. We've already made significant progress on these plans and recently announced the opening of an additional 55 new sites by Christmas".

Account budgets and agency fees were not been disclosed. Thresher Group operates 1,500 stores in the UK.
