Scottish & Newcastle UK (S&N UK) has promoted its head of category marketing, Shaun Heyes, to the role of head of customer marketing for the off-trade. Heyes will also continue in his role as head of category marketing.

Heyes, who has worked at S&N UK for fifteen years, will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of an overall commercial marketing strategy for the off-trade. Heyes succeeds Carol Saunders, who has moved to another senior position within the marketing department of S&N UK.

Said Heyes: "I will be developing a plan which will optimise the performance of all of our brand and innovation opportunities. Ultimately we will build our success by helping our customers to realise their own aspirations in the category.

"My new role has been created as part of a wider restructuring of the customer marketing department within S&N UK. This has increased the size and scope of the off-trade customer marketing team to ensure that we are unerringly focused on helping our customers to win through leading category & shopper insights.

"We will continue to embed our category vision initiative to change the industry's approach to marketing within the off-trade."
