Constellation Europe is positioning its New Zealand-based Nobilo wine brand as "the idea wine to drink with seafood" with the launch of a national ad campaign.

The drinks giant will launch a series of press ads in national newspapers and consumer food magazines tomorrow. The ads will feature the Noblio Regional Collection Sauvignon Blanc alongside a recipe for roast cod fillet on aubergine.

The high profile ad campaign will be supported in-store by an on-bottle promotion offering consumers the chance to win one of six cookery courses at Rick Stein's famous Padstow Seafood School.

The campaign follows Nobilo's sponsorship of National Seafood Fortnight earlier this month.

Clare Griffiths, VP of European consumer marketing for Constellation Europe, said: "At Constellation, the consumer is at the heart of everything we do, and this activity for Nobilo is no exception, having been developed specifically with the ‘Engaged Explorer' consumer in mind. These are consumers are in their 40's and 50's for whom good food and wine are a big part of their lives.

"This campaign will reinforce Nobilo's link with seafood and looks set to drive value in the New Zealand category."
