Scotch whisky The Famous Grouse is to be repackaged for the off-trade this month in a bid to boost sales in the run up to Christmas.

The limited edition bottle, created by Maxxium UK, boasts a specially designed seasonal shrink wrapped sleeve which gives the illusion that the bottle is already gift wrapped and ready to give.

Maxxium UK's brand manager for The Famous Grouse, Lee Walker, comments: "The Famous Grouse is always a festive favourite and a consistent high performer over the Christmas period.

"The striking new look bottle will ensure that we continue to stand out in our sector, drawing the attention of both old and new customers."

The limited edition bottle will be available in Sainsbury's, Morrisons and Asda this October.
