Corona scores Ministry of Sound sponsorship deal

Corona Extra has announced a major sponsorship deal with clubbing brand Ministry of Sound.

The Wells and Young's owned brand will support a national tour of some of the UK's top clubs over the next two months, which more than 10,000 people are expected to attend.

Corona hopes the tour will build on awareness created by the brand's first ever £1 million awareness campaign launched in the UK last month, entitled ‘The Beginning'.

It will support Ministry's ‘The Sessions' tour with a host of activities including giant inflatable Corona Extra bottles and a fleet of branded vehicles at each event, including the Corona Extra double-decker bus.

The tour also follows a major support programme with the on and off-trade last month, which saw Corona Extra fly 70 key distributors and account customers to Ibiza for a three day party.

Chris Lewis, director of marketing at Wells and Young's, said: "Corona Extra is extremely well received in this marketplace and the tour will heighten awareness among key target audiences to help drive sales and distribution in both the on and off-trade."
