Blason de Bourgogne has made its on-trade debut, almost seven years after it first appeared in the UK take-home market.

The wine - which accounts for one in eight bottles of Burgundy sold in the off-trade - has been listed in 187 Ember Inns by Mitchells & Butler, and the new Petit Chablis will appear on the wine list at all 200 outlets of the Sizzling Pub Company from March.
Marc Vachet, export director for the Blason Group, said: "Since its launch in 2002, Blason continues to show strong growth, with sales of 200,000 9-litre cases a year.
"We have worked hard to build consumer and trade awareness for Blason in the UK off-trade, through sponsorship and consumer fairs, and we are now looking to reach new and existing Blason customers via the on-trade sector."
This spring the group will unveil a new marketing and communications campaign and plans to introduce a Montagny Premier Cru, and a Crémant de Bourgogne Extra Brut, reflecting the latest trend for ultra dry styles.
Blason is distributed by HwCg.
