Serkova next for Pernod sell-off Claire Hu wine
Tuesday, 20 January 2009 14:22

Pernod Ricard has followed up last week's sale of the Lubuski vodka brand in Poland with the disposal of Serkova in Greece.

The brand has been sold to Amvyx, the distribution company which had been the Greek supplier of Pernod-owned Absolut and Level vodkas, and Plymouth gin.

That distribution arrangement changed on Jan 2, when Pernod took the brands in-house into its Pernod Ricard Hellas operation.

Pernod has been forced by the European Commission to sell off a package of brands formerly owned by V&S Vin & Sprit, the Swedish state-owned liquor operation from which it bought Absolut last summer.
