All Bar One slashes prices

The move follows similar deals introduced by chains such as Wetherspoons where the offer of a 99p pint resulted in mass press coverage and an immediate 2% plus uplift in sales.

All Bar One is offering 27 dishes for just £5 on any day of the week at any time. That includes a 6oz sirloin steak with parsley and horseradish butter and fries, chargrilled tiger prawns marinated in lemon and garlic or beef and coriander burger with organic goat's cheese & peppers.

The offer also includes a bottle of house red or white wine for £7.95 or a pint of Heineken at £2.50. It runs until February 12.

To take up the offer customers need to go to the All Bar One website, www.allbarone.co.uk, and download a voucher.
