Southern Wines & Spirits of America (SWSA) has signed a long-term deal for the exclusive distribution rights to Beam Global products in 21 US states.

The deal adds Arizona and Kentucky to an existing deal between SWSA and Beam.

The agreement covers a Beam portfolio including Jim Beam, Hornitos tequila, Courvoisier, Laphroaig, Cruzan rum and De Kuyper liqueurs.

Bill Newlands, president of Beam's US business, said: "SWSA has been a valuable Beam Global partner for many years.

"Through this new performance-based distribution contract, we continue to strengthen our relationship with SWSA and further streamline our routes to market.

"Our expanded agreement helps us to gain efficiencies by having a uniform sales and distribution model in 21 states and strategically aligning both companies' business priorities."

Wayne Chaplin, SWSA's president and ceo, added: "Beam Global and SWSA will be partnered coast-to-coast - with SWSA representing more than 50% of Beam's US business."

The Arizona deal starts from March 1 and the Kentucky agreement a month later.
