Maxxium South East Asia is to distribute the portfolio of Russian Standard vodka in the region.

The deal includes Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and the Philippines, and covers travel retail as well as domestic markets.

Russian Standard export director Mykola Kuzemko said: "South east Asia has a fast-growing economy and a large population of young and dynamic spirits consumers.

"Volume in the vodka category has nearly doubled in the last four year.

"Our expansion in Asia is a significant step in meeting our goal of becoming a global leader in the premium vodka market."

The deal means Russian Standard - owned by multi-billionaire Roustam Tariko - is sold in over 60 countries.
