Pernod Ricard is to launch its super-premium Beefeater 24 gin in the US market this year, along with a mango-flavoured Absolut vodka and a Brazilian rum under the Seagram's name.

Absolut Mango will appear in the US from March, ahead of a global rollout.

Seagram's rum will be introduced as a US exclusive from May.

Beefeater 24 is already on sale in the UK and Spain and will appear on American shelves in the coming weeks.

In an interview with the Reuters press agency, finance director Emmanuel Babeau said that "innovation in the US is more important than in some other markets".

He added that he expected growth in India and China to offset slowing markets elsewhere in the world over the next year.
