Codorniu deal for Altia

Finnish drinks giant Altia has own the exclusive sales and marketing rights for Codorniu wines in Sweden, Norway, Finland, Estonia, Latvia and the Baltic travel retail markets.

The deal includes all Codorniu group brands including the Raimat still wine range and Codorniu Cavas.

Tom Alakari, senior vice president for supplier management at Altia, said: "The Codorniu portfolio is appreciated and enjoyed by customers and consumers across our business area.

"We strongly believe our knowledge of the Nordic and Baltic markets, combined with the distribution power and the excellence of our local sales and marketing companies, will deliver significant growth for the Codorniu brands in the years to come."

Altia has turnover of Euros 500 million a year and represents drinks brands from around the world, as well as producing its own Maximus and Koskenkorva vodkas.
