Topics will include the global financial crisis, the environment, how to improve sales, consumption trends, the challenges facing the on-trade, brands, marketing strategies and emerging markets.

Parker will give a speech, take part in one of the panels and conduct a guided tasting.

Other high-profile speakers and panelists include Jancis Robinson MW, Oz Clarke, Steven Spurrier, Robert Joseph, Tesco drinks boss Dan Jago and Troy Christensen, president of Constellation Brands Europe.

Around 500 delegates are expected and some of the presentations will be broadcast live on the internet.
