Constellation International chief executive Jon Moramarco is to step down from the job at the end of June.

Paul Hetterich will take over the running of the international business of Constellation Europe, Constellation Wines Australia and Constellation New Zealand as executive vice president for business development, corporate strategy and international.

Constellation Europe president Troy Christensen will report to Hetterich and add responsibility for CWA to his current duties.

CWA president John Grant and Joe Stanton, chief executive officer of CNZ, will both report to Christensen.

Rob Sands, Constellation's president and chief executive officer, said: "As we continue to evaluate the organisation and look to position for long-term success, refining and simplifying our international organisation provides opportunities for increased synergies within the UK and Australian markets.

"We anticipate significant benefits from a leaner and more flexible international organisation as we continue our goal of improving efficiencies, profit, cash flow and return on capital, as well as paying down debt."

Sands paid tribute to Moramarco for his "strategic insight, knowledge and vast wine industry experience".
