Roederer Champagne shipment stolen

An entire shipment of Louis Roederer Champagne has been stolen after a lorry bound for the Cert Octavian warehouse in Hoddesdon, Hertfordshire was diverted to another location, where it was unloaded by thieves.

UK agent MMD said the load included 984 six-bottle cases of Brut Premier, and 84 half-bottle cases, as well as 60 cases of 2003 vintage magnums. The incident took place on the morning of Friday, June 19.

Hertfordshire Constabulary is investigating and is warning retailers that thieves are likely to approach them to sell on the stolen stock.
