Teacher's whisky is to try to raise awareness of the links between blended and malt whisky through a giveaway promotion.

Bottles of Teacher's are to carry a free miniature of Ardmore Traditional Cask, the fingerprint malt used in the Teacher's blend.

The promotion will run in selected branches of Sainsbury's, Morrisons and Tesco in June and July.

Janette Peat, brand manager for both whiskies at Maxxium UK, said: "This promotion aims to educate consumers about the special relationship between Teacher's and Ardmore.

"By offering consumers the chance to try Ardmore we aim to reinforce the quality credentials of Teachers and drive awareness, trial and re-purchase of Ardmore among a wide audience."
