Gallo Family Vineyards, the American winemaker, has been awarded the title of the most powerful wine brand in the world - for a fifth consecutive year.
The award was given by a panel of leading, independent industry experts who researched nearly 10,000 brands in the spirits and wine sector to publish a list of the 100 most powerful spirits and wine brands in the world - known as The Power 100.
Established in Modesto, California, in 1933 E&J Gallo has become one of the world's foremost wineries.
In addition to being named the most powerful brand, E&J Gallo was also identified as one of 14 brands to be a 'star performer' - a new award for 2010 given to grands that have performed exceptionally well, outperforming their category and the market in general.
The Power 100 includes seven US wine brands - Gallo, Robert Mondavi, Beringer, Sutter Home, Blossom Hill and Kendall Jackson and six Australian brands - Yellowtail, Hardy's Jacob's Creek, Lindemans, Wolf Blass and Penfolds.
Spain has the only European wine brand in The Power 100 - Torres Wine.

As the demand for Profit drives the most industry. The great winemakers turn to the artistry of their product, making wines with intreging flavors and structure.
It is much like the Art market now, no artist wants to re-produce anothers style or image. Every wine should have it's own Identity.
