The Sud de France Sommelier Competition is being held in four cities around the world later this year as part of the annual Sud de France Festival.
The competition aims to identify the sommelier with the best knowledge of the Languedoc-Roussillon region and its wines in Mexico City, New York City, Rio de Janeiro and London.
It gives entrants the opportunity to raise their profile and that of their employer and profession, while deepening their knowledge of one of the world's most diverse and exciting wine-producing regions.
Sommeliers have until June 10 to enter the competition.
The semi-finals and finals will be held at the Maison de la Region Languedoc-Roussillon on Monday, September 13.
The Sud de France Festival will be held in six countries - UK, Germany, Mexico, Brazil, United States and China - presenting Sud de France wine and food products in ten cities.
The ten-day trade and consumer event promoting Languedoc-Roussillon's wines and food will be held between now and October.
In London, the Sud de France Festival will be held between September 17 and 30.
