Robert Parker, the legendary US wine critic, is to host a special tasting in London in February 2015 as part of a world tour of exclusive tastings for his Wine Advocate magazine.
It will be the first time that Wine Advocate has embarked on such a tour of tastings and Parker, along with his review team, will be in London on February 26 to host a special masterclass followed by a gala dinner. During the tasting Parker will talk through a personal selection of his favourite wines from Bordeaux and other regions around the world including wines that he has awarded 100 points to. Wines lined up to be tasted include Domain Leroy Latricieres-Chambertin 2011, Château Cos d'Estournel 1982 and Masseto 2001.
The "A Taste of Greatness" event will take place at London's Royal Courts of Justice from 7pm to 9pm. He will be joined by Neal Martin, Luis Gutierrez and Monica Larner of The Wine Advocate and Lisa Perrotti-Brown MW. Up to 500 people will get the chance to buy tickets for the special tasting.
The tasting will be followed by a Gala Hedonist's dinner on February 27 for 55 people at London's The Ledbury restaurant in Notting Hill featuring a line up of 100 point wines including Château Haut-Brion 1989 and Colgin Cellars IX Estate 2007.
Anyone interested in attending either event can buy tickets for the masterclass for £450 or £1,800 for the Gala at www.grandworldtour.com.
