The annual Drambuie Pursuit across the Scottish highlands has been won by a US team.  It is the first time Americans have been allowed to compete in the 10-stage event - the winning team was comprised of three US firefighters and one native Scotsman (pictured).
The event sees 10 four-person teams race the prized Drambuie Elixir across a series of events including rafting, biking and archery. Jerry Maguire actor Jerry O'Connell and 2007 Penthouse Pet of the Year, Heather Vandeven, represented this year's contingent of celebrity participants. I am the proud mother of Simon Choppin member of Hallambuie who as far as I was aware were the winners of the 2008 pursuit!!!! |

Errrr. There were three events, one "International" (won by Canadians), one UK (won by some sport scientists from Sheffield) and one USA event (unsurprisingly won by some Americans). |
